Woodville Road Nursery Ltd.

Very odd interactions the couple times I tried to do business here. Although it's closer to me and looks like they should have what I needed, I always left empty handed and bewildered by the service.

Not opened during business business hours after the 4th. No post on their Facebook page, nothing on Google, nothing on their phone message. Just a sign taped to the door. Drove out for nothing. Hours are limited to standard work hours and some hours Saturday normally. It’s 2025, gotta use the tools to communicate to customers. Will take my business elsewhere.

I’m definitely not their ideal customer but they treated me respectfully and were very helpful anyway — particularly the one person who helped me. I was visiting my great aunt nearby. Since I’m not familiar with the area, I was on the lookout for somewhere I could pick up flowers or a plant for her on the way. I saw Woodville Road Nursery and took a chance. Once inside I could see they usually sell on a much larger scale and I almost left. But the man who came out to greet me made me feel welcome and said I could look around and let him know if I had any questions. I did find a succulent that I thought might work. The three men working debated whether it would work as an indoor plant, ultimately deciding that as long as it had some sunlight and occasional water, it might do ok. I got a planter close by and stopped back in to ask how frequently it should be watered. I thought they might be annoyed with me and my tiny purchase taking up more of their time, but again the guy who helped me greeted me with a nice smile and was very helpful. They know their stuff and he in particular was very gracious and happy to help. I’m tempted to call and ask for help troubleshooting my gardening p

I just visited this past weekend to purchase a weeping red bud tree and had a great experience. They were very friendly and helpful despite being very busy with other customers purchasing bulk mulch and stone. I wasn't really sure what I wanted but they took the time to help me select a tree then dug up, trimmed, loaded, and gave me advice on how to plant and care for it. They are very knowledgeable and take great care of their customers! They have a great selection of trees and plants as well as stone and mulch fairly priced. I would definitely recommend!

Always a pleasure working with Jim. He replaced all my arborvitae (I over fertilized them) and recommended replacements for evergreens that I purchased elsewhere that would struggle to survive in our zone. They were planted when I got home from work. :)
